This is a great PHP add-on, for WordPress, which tells site users that the site has been temporarily disabled.

Simply upload this file to the root directory of your WordPress installation and add a simple redirect to ‘yoursite.com/wp-disabled.php’.

This add-on is very well documented, and additional support is available.

This file automatically uses all the same styling as your standard ‘wp-login.php’ page.
